LESSONS
I teach in person and virtually. I have students in Bombay, India and in other parts of India and abroad. Whether a class is live or via Zoom, all of my students get the same attention and supervised practiced. In addition to our sessions, students are encouraged to send me clips of their progress and/or struggles so that we can keep improving even between sessions.

The piano has been the center of my life for over two decades. As a toddler, I was a curious child happily thumping on it daily. Then as a student, with a little direction and understanding of the art, I slowly started to challenge myself. Later, I worked towards becoming an accompanist and performer. And now, I pass on what I've learned as a full-time teacher, having learned from amazing instructors who treated me with immeasurable love and care.

My greatest thrill as a music educator comes from the fact that music can liberate the soul of anyone who engages with it. As a teacher, my journey has given me a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me. It's also nurtured my creativity. One of most satisfying surprises for me in doing this work is that I learn something new every single day. These new insights come through my own discoveries as well as through interactions with my incredible students.
With music, we individually come with our own exclusive strengths, abilities, and understanding of how sound can make us feel. Encouraging every musical idea no matter how vague or impulsive is of vital importance in a student’s creative development. I enjoy nothing more than assisting and observing a student conceiving and composing their own ideas while learning to adorn their sense of musicality in whichever ways they desire. This enables them to grow exponentially at their own set pace without undue pressure attached to it.

I consider myself in partnership with everyone I play with and teach. We grow and learn together every day.
